Blue Thumb Pledge

Elk Grove Water District, the Regional Water Authority and other local water providers are sponsoring a Blue Thumb pledge drive to reward people who commit to use water efficiently.

Can you pledge to:

• Reduce irrigation by two minutes each cycle?
• Plant low-water use trees and plants?
• Water your yard early in the morning or later at night?
• Add mulch around trees and plants? (EGWD has free mulch!)
• Repair leaks and broken sprinkler heads or replace them with a more efficient irrigation system?
• Use a broom instead of a hose when cleaning driveways?
• Use an automatic shut off nozzle for your hose?
• Adjust sprinklers to avoid runoff
